• Liposomal Vitamin C Has Become A Joke – Let’s be honest, vitamin C is Ascorbic Acid (aka Ascorbate). That’s the scientific name of natural vitamin C in fruits and vegetables, and that is the only form we use in our product. Why do other products sell “1600 mg” of “fat soluble” Ascorbyl Palmitate? • “Fat Soluble” Does Not Mean Liposomal – Liposomes are natural microscopic spheres that envelop vitamin C at their center with phosphatidylcholine (PC), the main building block of cell membranes. Liposomes enhance absorption, but you need a lot of PC to make them. We use 500 mg of non-GMO Phosphatidylcholine for our liposomes, but check other product labels that don’t list the amount separately – it may be too little to make the liposomes that increase vitamin C absorption in the first place.
